چکیده

Conceptual problems of unified two-nucleon force models are discussed. The force models are based on the pion-nucleon vertex and attempt a description of the nucleon-nucleon interaction below and above pion threshold. The conceptual problems arise from the nucleon renormalization due to pionic degress of freedom. Keeping channels with a single pion only no renormalization procedure can be given which is consistent in the one-nucleon and in the many-nucleon systems. The medium dependence of the one-pion exchange potential is illustrated. Information obtained from nucleus as a bound system of nucleons and from nucleon-nucleon scattering experiments is a strong tool for studying various aspects of nuclear forces. Deuteron-deuteron scattering as a four-nucleon system can provide useful information. So, scattering experiment of a polarized beam of deuteron with kinetic energy of65 MeV/nucleon from a liquid-deuterium target was done...

Low-momentum interactions for nuclei

We show how the renormalization group is used to construct a lowmomentum nucleon-nucleon interaction Vlow k, which unifies all potential models used in nuclear structure calculations. Vlow k can be directly applied to the nuclear shell model or to nucleonic matter without a G matrix resummation. It is argued that Vlow k parameterizes a high-order chiral effective field theory two-nucleon force....

Effective Theory for Neutron-deuteron Scattering and the Triton

We apply the effective field theory approach to the three-nucleon system. In particular , we consider neutron-deuteron scattering and the triton. Precise predictions for S = 3/2 scattering are obtained in a straightforward way. In the S = 1/2 channel, however, a unique nonperturbative renormalization takes place which requires the introduction of a three-body force at leading order. We also sho...

Three Nucleons at Very Low Energy

We discuss the effective field theory approach to nuclear phenomena with typical momentum below the pion mass. We particularly focus on the three body problem. In the J = 3/2 channel, effective field theory is extremelly predictive and we are able to describe the nucleon-deuteron scattering amplitude at the percent level using only two parameters obtained from nucleon-nucleon scattering. We bri...
